Enlargement Pulse Colloquium 2026

Tirana, 11 November 2026
College of Europe - Tirana Campus, Online
9:00-13:30
Language of work: English

Building on its inaugural edition in November 2025, the second Enlargement Pulse Colloquium will explore how EU enlargement can advance democratic reform, strengthen competitiveness and deliver tangible benefits for citizens in the Western Balkans.

Bringing together decision-makers, academics, civil society representatives, students and leaders from business and finance, the Colloquium will assess enlargement momentum following the European Commission’s 2026 Enlargement Package. Discussions will examine how the rule of law, accountable institutions and economic opportunities can strengthen public trust and support for accession, and how investment can support European integration through strategic infrastructure, innovation and opportunities for businesses.

A dedicated student session will identify priority reforms and policy changes for 2027, bringing the next generation’s perspectives into the debate.

The Colloquium is organised in partnership by the College of Europe – Tirana Campus, the CSF Foundation, the International Banks Division of Intesa Sanpaolo Group and the College of Europe Alumni Association.

It is a satellite event of the EU Enlargement Forum 2026: Wider Europe – Stronger Europe, whose flagship event takes place on 16 November 2026.

The event will be held online and is open to the public. Interested participants are welcome to join via the following link: ENLARGEMENT PULSE COLLOQUIUM 2026 | Meeting-Join | Microsoft Teams
