Barbara Carfagna is a journalist and anchorwoman at Rai (Italian public TV broadcaster). She produces reports for TV7 and Speciale TG1, anchors TG1, and hosts the podcast Codicebeta for Rai Radio Uno. For Rai1, she is the creator, writer, and host of CODICE, a program on digital societies filmed around the world. A columnist for Il Sole 24 Ore, she has also contributed to Il Foglio, Panorama, and Formiche, covering topics such as politics, economics, philosophy, and digital societies.

She has produced reports on society, politics, economics, and digital finance from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Silicon Valley, Pittsburgh, Israel, Singapore, the Amazon, Japan, Azerbaijan, Africa, China, and South Korea, interviewing academics and researchers in the laboratories of the world’s leading universities.

She received her television training under Giovanni Minoli.

She has been a member of the Scientific Committee of the CSF Foundation since April 2025.
